(McMinnville, OR, December 29, 1883 - 1962)

Writer, cartoonist, illustrator. Born in McMinnville, Oregon in 1883. During 1902-03 Cooper studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute in San Francisco. He lived in Marin County, CA in 1932, Fanwood, NJ in 1940 and by 1947 was editor of the Subway Sun in NYC. Member: Society of Illustrators (NYC); Bohemian Club; Salmagundi Club. CD; AAA 1925; CA&A; WWAA 1947.
