Commentary
Vice President Picketed: Vice President Hubert Humphrey is picketed by anti-war demonstrators as he arrives at the Atlanta City Auditorium to address 5,000 high school students. The sign-carrying group at the right is picketing the pickets. The students, about evenly divided between whites and blacks, were told to take up the challenge to build a society based on equality. Taking note of the anti-U.S. policy pickets, Humphrey said he respected their right to dissent.
