Commentary
Pacifists Carried From Army Base: Military Police carry members of the Committee for Non-Violent Action from the Oakland Army Supply Depot today, after they climbed over fences to gain entry. A group of about 100 demanded that they be permitted to walk into the base "to talk with workers and to halt the shipment of military supplies to Vietnam. When Provost Marshal Major Richard Gicomassi refused them permission, some 15 men and women climbed over the fence, Oakland, California.
