Tan and dark brown juncus reeds split for sewing and wrapping.
Commentary
Reeds must be split to prepare them for use in sewing a coiled basket. The tan and dark brown colors are the natural hues of Juncus. -from the Native American Art from the Permanent Collection Catalog, 1979-1980
