Polychrome jar with white slip and an orange and black floral design.
Provenance
The doner recalled that the jar was originally purchased by her great uncle Herbert Aldrich. He collected the bowl circa 1875-1885. Although the exact location of where he collected the bowl is unknown, the donor remembers hearing that he collected the bowl "directly from the tribe." The bowl has been in the donor's family since its original purchase, and was passed down to her grandmother, to her mother, and then to the donor, Gwin Shelton.
