Commentary
"The Latin expression "ab ovo" (which means, literally, "starting from the egg" and, metaphorically, "starting from the very beginning") is still currently used by Italians in its Latin formulation. In this play of words, it goes through some changes, staying bound to the Latin language: ab eva (from Eve), ave eva (Hail Eve), ea (she). It is the birth of self-conscious femininity, accentuated by the shape of an apple, alluding to the starting point: Eve's choice of the mystery of life. The structure of any graphic egg is here revealed to be be two circumferences, one large and one small (in some way bound to birth) and the triangle of divinity."
