Commentary
Karl Struss was a Pictorialist. He tends to have small prints that are very nicely printed. He later became a film maker on many important films.

Technique
This is a platinum print. These are lost forever because of the platinum. During World War I there was no access to platinun, so artist's had to shift to something new.
