Convention Demonstrator Arrested: Police take an anti-war demonstrator into custody outside Miami Beach's Convention Hall, where Republicans met for their third convention session. Police made a series of arrests after activists blocked an intersection and, according to police, "began hitting pedestrians and beating on the cars," Miami Beach, Florida.
