Commentary
Rejects Tractor Offer: Havana radio reported that Cuban Premier Fidel Castro rejected the latest offer of the Tractors for Freedom Committee today. Castro was quoted by the radio as saying the committee did not tell the truth when it stated that Castro had changed his proposal in order to confuse public opinion. The Cuban leader is pictured during a June 14, 1961 press conference for U.S. newsmen admitted to Cuba for tractor-prisoner negotiations.
