Commentary
Marine Surveillance: Two U.S. Marines keep surveillance over the west perimeter fence of the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base at Cuba. Peering through powerful binoculars (left) is PFC Michael Ricardi of Philadelphia. At right with automatic rifle is PFC Joseph Hansbury of Waterford, New York. On the left side of the clearing is a road used by Cuban army patrols. At right is the dividing line and road used by the U.S. base defense forces.
