Ellipsoidal jar. Narrow rim. Two anthropomorphic faces outlined in black. Two geometrically patterned squares. Two pairs of perforation on rim. Ramos black on white.

Red clay, white slip, and black paint

Formerly in the E. D. Osborn Collection.
Commentary
Ramos black-on-white style. Legends about twins are found universally; this "Janus-faced" pot may refer to one of them. In Western Pueblo mythology, the Beloved Twins, firstborn of the Sun Father and Earth Mother, embody good and evil (DiPeso, 1977, p. 37).
