Open cylindrical basket with a flat base. Coiled construction. Black and tan triangles on the base. Black and tan "mountains," a black zoomorphic figure, and a black anthropomorphic figure on the sides. On buff.
Commentary
Chemehuevi basket makers of the Coachella Valley often depicted scenic views on their baskets; in this example, there are mountains, mountainous passes, and human and animal figures.
