Restricted hemispherical bowl with rounded base. Interior painted with elaborate design of zigzag lines, small squares with dot centers, small black triangles. large central white "S" motif. Red exterior. Gila polychrome. Partially repainted.

Brown clay, white and red slip, and black paint
Commentary
Gila polychrome style. The design includes fretwork projections and a curving line. It is called "bird wing," as it resembles painting on bird effigy jars.

Marks
A piece of white cloth tape is affixed to the underside. Handwritten in black ink, it reads, "Gila Polly- [sic] / Chrome / Tonto". Half of a dirty paper tag handwritten in brown ink is sitting inside the bowl. It reads, "From Ari[zona?] / Indians / Mrs Cu". There are also a few letters handwritten in graphite below this.
