Parrot effigy jar with tail and head projections. Small mouth on top of head projection. Roosevelt black on white ware, White Mountain series. Upper portion painted with a pattern of solid and hatched bands.

Materials
Grey clay, white slip, and black paint

Provenance
Location is north of Miami.

Marks
A piece of white cloth tape is adhered to the underside of the jar. Handwritten in black ink, it reads, "8 Miles No Miami / Alone. 2 1/2 ft deep. / AD 1200 / Edgr Simmons".

Commentary
Roosevelt black-on-white style.
