Large, elongated U-shaped buckskin bag. Decorated with two bands of beadwork; alternating red and yellow striped rectangles and white and green striped rectangles. Metal clamps and orange tufts.

Commentary
Simple bands of color were common in beadwork, even before regional styles developed. This bag of bison leather probably dates from a later period than the beadwork sewn to it, which has been transferred from another article. American bison, commonly and erroneously called the buffalo, once ranged throughout the North American continent. By 1885, they were nearly extinct.
