Small buckskin vest covered with solid beadwork. Blue and white striped beadwork edging: blue, red, and green triangular designs on white. Reservation era complexity.

Commentary
The vest was an article of European clothing widely adopted by Native Americans. Opening in the front, it differed from the pull-over construction of traditional Native American garments. Many vests, however, were adapted to the traditional format and were cut in the older, two-piece method (Conn, 1974, p. 144).
