Hemispherical basket with a flat base. Coiled construction. Tan outlined flower pattern radiates from the center of the base to cover the entire basket. Background is buff.

juncus, deer grass and sumac

The first few coils at the center of this traditional se-whal-lal--a round, shallow, flat-bottomed basket with gently flaring sides--are wrapped with sumac.
