Flat rectangular cornhusk bag. Twined weave. Two rows of red-outlined green triangular patterns embroidered on one side, and alternating red and blue rectangular patterns on the other side.
Materials
Indian hemp, corn husk, yarn, red silk, and leather
Commentary
In Plateau bags of most recent date, like this c. 1910 example, all of the design elements are produced with commercial yarn. Many colors are used, and they tend to be very bright. The eight-pointed star decorates one face of this bag, and a four-pointed star with what may be a duck motif enriches the other face.
