Cut Cardium shell pendants. Sweetwater phase, Classic Period. Length ranges 2.5-4 cm. Pendant .a: Light brown shell carved as a large bird in profile. The long beak has a line incised to form upper and lower beak. Crosshatching creates feathers on the wings. Deep pupil incised, with a shallow circle incised around it to form eye. Small feet. Pendant b.: White and light brown shell cut in what may be a stylized representation of a bird with out-stretched wings. Geometric shape: roughly rectangular in the middle, with oval tapering sides. Hole pierced near center edge.
