Commentary
Switzerland will not be caught napping with the “catch as catch can” policy prevailing among the dictatorships of the world. Switzerland, who now has half a million men under arms, put her armies through their paces in recent war games in the high Alpine regions. Above, during maneuvers, a Swiss soldier who is “injured” in the fray is transported back to the lines in a rather uncomfortable fashion, December 1939.
