Manna from heaven South Pacific: Bread to be eaten by U.S. troops on a South Pacific island is piled high by indigenous people, who carry it from a troop carrier plane and cover it with a tarp. This is one of the interesting scenes viewed by Major General Ennis C. Whitehead during his tour of forward Pacific outposts, November 1943.
