Poland Today: In the towns, the music of rebuilding machines is played for the country murdered by the Nazis. In the country, the tiny farms that have remained unchanged for centuries are helping to feed Britain. One of the biggest German railroad car factories was in Wrocław. It has been taken over by the Poles. The factory was 75% destroyed during the fight, but is now being rebuilt to full capacity. The production surpasses pre-war levels. The Polish worker was always excellent. Some of the workers were Poles who worked in the German factory before, while others came from Warsaw factories. There are also a great many apprentices being trained for the job by the old workers. The new machine tools come from Czechoslovakia and Hungary. A young worker in a factory is being supervised, 1948.
