Pointed oval, slightly concave basket tray. Three bands of dark brown herringbone design on buff. Intermontane region.

Commentary
Trays made by diagonal twining techniques were used by the Paiutes for winnowing an for parching seeds and nuts, and the trangular shape is typical among both the Paiutes an the Shoshones. -from the Native American Art from the Permanent Collection catalog, 1976
