Commentary
A march in Meriden, Connecticut by 23 white-robed and hooded members of the Ku Klux Klan ended with them being pelted by rocks, bottles and sticks hurled by angry counterdemonstrators on Saturday March 21. The Klan members, led by Imperial Wizard Bill Wilkinson, said they were marching to support a white policeman who shot and killed a black shoplifting suspect on February 24 at Meriden Square Shopping Mall.
