Commentary
Civil Rights activists chant "We Shall Overcome" in front of Decatur City Hall at the end of a peaceful march Monday. While riot-equipped police watched from atop three-story buildings, 35 black Civil Rights activists stopped during their march to pray. The marchers stopped at the spot where last year's shootout between blacks and klansmen left four people injured. The marchers one year ago were protesting the prosecution of Tommy Lee Hines. Hines, a retarded black convicted on rape charges, was still the point of controversy in Monday's walk, Georgia.
