Mapping a Rally: An NAACP-Elks Civil Rights rally to be held in Kingston on Saturday and Sunday is being planned in Albany by James Farrison, Assistant Grand District Deputy; LeRoy Hooper, Exalted Ruler of Commando Lodge; Mrs. Hazel Colley, Financial Secretary of Royal Temple 148; and Jimmy D. Williams, Civil Liberties Commissioner of the Upper Hudson District.

On verso: manuscript title, date stamp and newspaper caption affixed.

Ferrotyped prints have a sensitive surface, usually shiny and thinner, because they are put through a press while still wet. Ferrotyping makes the surface of the photograph smoother. Light does not scatter as much on a smoother surface, so this increases contrast. That makes ferrotyped images better for press photography.
