Rectangular bag decorated with beadwork bands (progressing from opening to bottom). Long thong fringe. Solid beadwork on white background and quilled colored strips. Late style-- traditional outlining of design elements has broken down. Excellent Sioux example.

Commentary
During the late 19th century, delicate design elements--thin lines, forks, and terraces--began to appear in Sioux beadwork. These motifs can be traced to the Caucasian rugs in the possession of white settlers who passed through Sioux territory (fig. 39). In addition to new design influences, traditional quillwork continued.
