Commentary
The Conference of Employees and Employers: British labor employers and their men in conference at Central Hall, Westminster. Mr. Arthur Henderson, British Labor Leader, addresses the men. Many of the post-war problems affecting capital and labor were settled agreeably at this conference, London, England. (Keep the Faith – Buy the Fifth!) Arthur Henderson (1863-1935) was a British iron moulder and Labor politician. He was the first Labor cabinet minister, he won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1934 and, uniquely, he served three separate terms as Leader of the Labor Party in three different decades.

Technique
Ferrotyped prints are processed in such a way that they are shiny. The print has a sensitive surface, usually thinner, because it was put through a press while still wet.
Materials
Ferrotyped prints have a sensitive surface, usually shiny and thinner, because they are put through a press while still wet. Ferrotyping makes the surface of the photograph smoother. Light does not scatter as much on a smoother surface, so this increases contrast. That makes ferrotyped images better for press photography.
