Japanese warships guard Siberian frontier Hsinking, Manchukuo (Manchuria): Warships of the Manchukuo Navy, built and operated under the direction of the Japanese, after Japanese seizure of Manchukuo from China. Ships are shown during maneuvers at the junction of the Sungari and Amur Rivers between Manchukuo and Siberia. Now that Russia has declared war on Japan, these naval units will probably oppose any attempt by the Russians to strike at Japan through Northern China, July 1945.
