Commentary
This poster shows a machine gunner sitting in the cockpit of a bomber and carries the slogan “Don’t let him down”. It is the fourth in a series of posters being sent to defense plants by the Office for Emergency Management. It was drawn by Lester Beall, nationally-known commercial designer, who has done work for the other government agencies, Washington D.C., September 1941.
