Commentary
Pickets Want Murder Charge Made: members of a group calling itself Together Inc is picketing City Hall in New Orleans. They are demanding that a security guard who allegedly shot and killed their 17-year-old schoolmate be charged with murder.

On verso: artist's credit stamp, date stamp and newspaper caption affixed.

Materials
Ferrotyped prints have a sensitive surface, usually shiny and thinner, because they are put through a press while still wet. Ferrotyping makes the surface of the photograph smoother. Light does not scatter as much on a smoother surface, so this increases contrast. That makes ferrotyped images better for press photography.
